The 26th branch of the revolutionary Court has sentenced Saeed Pourheydar to 5 years in prison.
RAHANA: After 52 days of detention in Ward 350 of the Evin Prison, journalist and blogger, Saeed Pourheydar was sentenced to five years in prison which was suspended for 5 years. He is charged with “propaganda activities against the regime, blasphemy and questioning Islamic principles, disturbing public order by participating in illegal gatherings, assembly and collusion against national security and insulting the president.”
Pourheydar was detained on February 5th and released on bail after a month in the solitary confinement unit of Ward 240 of the Evin Prison.
He was arrested for a second time on October 12th and transferred to Ward 350.
