Mehdi Khodaei, a student activist and a human rights activist, who has been in detention since March 3rd has been sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment.
RAHANA: Mehdi Khodaie ,a student activist and a human rights activist, who had been sentenced to 4 years in prison last year, has been sentenced to 3 more years of imprisonment by the lower court.
According to the RAHANA reporter, his charges in the new case are the same charges that he had been sentenced to 4 years in prison for.
Khodaei was sentenced to 4 years in prison for acting against national security by organizing gatherings and anti- regime propaganda by the 15th branch of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Salavati in February of 2009.
Khodaei was detained on March 3rd by the cyber unit of IRGC for the 2nd time and has been held in Ward 2A of Evin Prison since then.
This student activist who has spent most of his detention in solitary confinement and under intense psychological and physical pressure is currently held in a 2 person cell in Ward 2A of Evin Prison after 8 months of detention.
