A number of political prisoners are still imprisoned without a hearing and are deprived of weekly meetings with their families due to the long distance.

RAHANA- Families of a number of Rajaei Shahr political prisoners have criticized the prosecution and detainment conditions of the detainees in a letter to Tehran Prosecutor, Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi.

According to Radio Farda, families of Masoud Bastani, Ahmad Zeidabadi, Isa Saharkhiz, Reza Rafiei- Foroushani , Rasoul Bodaghi, Mehdi Mahmoudian, Heshmatollah Tabarzadi, and Davoud Soleimani criticized the conditions in a letter published in Kaleme. Some prisoners have been detained for over a year without a court hearing. They have also been deprived from meeting with their families since the location is far from Tehran.  Moreover, limitations have been placed on the number of phone calls allowed.
